Getting results by e-mail

How should I set the Web Settings to receive results by e-mail? Can you point me to step-by-step instructions for the best way?

There's really only one step -

You need to switch on
Web Settings->Send Results Over the Internet

and enter your e-mail address.

Optionally, you can set 'Send Results Before Showing Any Feedback' if you're worried about users gaming your quiz.

You don't need to worry about the Custom Result Servers.

i have followed the steps above (using Send results over internet) and am using a known working gmail account. I am still not receiving any results. i have also checked the spam folder...nothing in there either.

I must have missed something in the set up?? Any specifics on the web server that need to be addressed??

It is fairly straight forward -

- create your quiz
- tick the send results via website box and
- input the correct email address in the web settings,
- save your quiz,
- generate the html files for publishing
- upload your files to your website

.....and you should get results by email.

You can check the online results server and make sure there are results there. Please let us know the outcome?

If you are still having problems could you send us zipped file of the quiz and we will have a look at it.

Also send the URL of your quiz and I'll see if everything is in order.

it appears that i also needed to register my email address (as one would to be able to view the results online....??
once i did that and ran another test then the results came thru via email fine.

yes in order to view the results online you need to register and login to the server.


I am just about to add a section on using the results service to the online manual - so it is good to get your feedback now.

I am glad everything is working for you now.

To receive results by email you must

1) Go the Web Settings in Quiz Properties,tick the box "Send results via website to Email" and enter your email address.

2) Save and publish your quiz online

You can also register with our online results service to see the full set of results for your quiz.
