Randomize question options

Is there a away to randomize specific question options. For example, I have 2 multiple choice questions. I only want question 1 to have the randomized answers but I want question 2 to stay in the same order. is that possible??

Hallo Danielk

The straight answer is no. You can choose to randomise question options or not but the set up for this is in the Quiz properties rather than the Question properties - that is if you want one question to have the answer options randomized, all the questions will have their answer options randomized (or not).

See :

I will have a think about this and see if I can come up with another solution for you.

I have had a further think about it and the only solution I can think of is to use a different question type for the question that you want to be randomized - ie Sequencing or Matching type question. These question types always have the answer options randomised.

You could then untick the Randomize Questions Box in Advanced Settings. All Multiple Choice, Multiple Response and Partial Credit (Pro Version) questions would then always display the answer options in the same order.

Not sure if this is of any help to you - but it is the only solution I can think of.
