color switch on radio button

I am using the "Minimalism" theme which is simple and very attractive, But the radio buttons for selecting choices (answers) to questions have a black circle for no-choice, turning to medium blue when selected. Unfortunately, on the older analog moniors in our lab, the black and blue are really close in shade. Would like to change the black (unmarked) to an open circle or light gray circle or something. Seems like a clear darkening of the button to select it is more intuitive

Short of a full feature addition or a custom fix, is there a way to edit the theme qws file (which I assume is java) to make the color switch?

Anyway, kudos on the nice clean theme. May mix it up every once in a while with the aquarium or halloween themes....

You can open the .qws in notepad, or the published html file and make changes to them, but I am not 100% sure if changing the button color is possible...I will get a more definite answer for you.

In the meantime, you can have a look at this earlier forum question and answer, which might help you

It's not quite possible to change the colour of the buttons - but you could change which state is shown for which by changing these lines in the source file as Hazel suggests -

<pair name="renderchoiceradiobuttonupstate" value="radiobuttonup-001.swf" />
<pair name="renderchoiceradiobuttonupstateroll" value="radiobuttonroll-001.swf" />
<pair name="renderchoiceradiobuttondownstate" value="radiobuttondown-001.swf" />
<pair name="renderchoiceradiobuttondownstateroll" value="radiobuttonroll-001.swf" />

Switch around the states to experiment with using different colours in different situations.

Thanks Hazel -- yes I saw those in the script. Sooner or later, I believe Alex is going to have us all trained as Java programmers!
