QWT- Candidate list results - It would be helpful if we could see a list of all candidates with the number of quizes they have done. Then be able to drill into a candidate name and see all the specific quiz results summarised. Then have the ability to pull open the individual quiz results if selected. Just another way to sort the data I suppose, rather then by quiz title it is by Candidate name. Hopefully they use the exact same spelling each time etc - or we give them a unique ID code/token to enter.
adam If this feature is added it may be wise to also add the ability to edit a candidate name. I was thinking if they made typo or decided to enter somthing slightly different then it becomes a struggle for the administrator to piece together who is who. But if they had the ability to edit the candidate name they could correct any bad entries aand successfully group the candidates results together properly. adam Thanks Adam,
I'll add this as a feature request for a 'User Login' system. As you note, Where users are entering their own ID, it is difficult to link up all their result sets because of slight differences in the way the IDs might be entered and the possibility of two users entering the same ID. Alexander Am I correct in thinking that with Professional (as against Standard) adding the student id in addition to the student name would reduce the chances of splitting results in the "Quiz results by candidate" feature?
So typing a name Barie Morgan (typo) rather than Barrie Morgan (correct) is possible and so split results but using a numeric id like 341698 is possibly less likely for a typo and so keep results together? Yes - typo's in the candidate field would create two candidate ID's - it's a good idea to use numeric userids if you're worried this might happen. Alexander McCabe I have done a detailed analysis for a client of their extensive test results.
Taking the "Summary Report Question Breakdown", I then select "Question Breakdown By Response", then "Question Breakdown by Score", and put the % of correct answers into an Excel data file. This produces a bar graph of the % of correct answers of each of the questions in the test and gives a good indication to the instructor, by a very low %, of which ones are a particular problem for the student. It could indicate poor confusing terminology in the wording of the question, an incorrect answer in the multiple choice options etc. The loading of the % figures into the Excel file individually for each question is a bit laborious (beware if you have scrambled the questions!) but well worth the effort, and the client is very pleased with the upgraded information for quality contol. As history in the QW data can be quite extensive, it does enable a very reliable picture to be created on identifying good questions versus bad ones. If I understand correctly, you'd like to see the 'Question Breakdown by Score' available as an easy to download report for Excel, where it contains all the questions for a quiz, or maybe all the questions on your QWT account? If I have the right understanding of your request, I'll add it to our features request list. Also, one thing you might not be aware of - you can sort the list of questions by average score attained/time taken on the question - this makes it quite easy to identify which questions students are having problems with, and also which questions might be too easy. Alexander McCabe Yes, the "Quiz Results by Candidate" feature is really helpful with sub-sorts being possible by title, results, time spent, last received etc.
By sorting "time spent" I can quickly identify where an unrealistic low time or high time has been spent on an essay exam, and do a detailed analysis on the problem questions. I had a very productive weekend doing just that, so the client can immediately start work on any fixes that may be necessary. Barrie Morgan |
