Variable time to save a qwz file?

Is there some smarts built in that when editing a qwz if you only change a small amount of text or make a minor change that the test will save quickly as it looks at only the specific data hat has changed? It seems that I will sometimes have very short Save times while others appear a lot longer perhaps 5-10times longer?

Another enhancement request would be a scroll bar to let you see progress of file being saved if it is significant length and will typically take more then 10 second to save. I often find myself clicking the mouse expecting to start doing something only to realise that the application is still tied up waiting for the file to complete saving....Sometimes the mouse pointer will change to the hourglass but often not until after I have tried clicking to make a new question or some other action.

Most of my quizzes range from 2mb to 8 mb in file size.

Hi Adam,

We don't have a lot of control over the file saving process, as it is mainly carried out by system and platform functions. What we can do is to ensure you get the proper hourglass when the system is busy - I'll see what's going wrong there and make sure we get that fixed in the next update. Thanks for the bug report.
