ranges instead of pass/fail

Hi -

This product looks like it meets all of my needs except for one - Pass/Fail does not meet my needs. I want to specify several different results based upon the final score; my users need a grade based upon a range of scores rather than a binary yes or no.

Has anyone figured out a convenient way to do this? I have some basic knowledge of Flash and Actionscript so I suppose I could decompile the .swf and figure something out, but that sounds painful.

Hi Eric,

It's far from ideal, but one way to approach this is to provide a grading key as the pass/fail message - thus the user can see their score and calculate their grade from the key. Improving on this behaviour is on our feature request list.

I think you'd find decompiling and altering the .swf too time consuming and difficult to be useful.

Alex, thanks for the lightning fast response. I think I might just do that.

On an unrelated note that should probably go in a different forum question, do I need a specific version to use the Collator code for export to my own db? I really appreciate you folks posting the code for that and that pretty much decided me.

Our license for Collator (found at the top of the Collator php files) is that you need any paid version of Question Writer to use it or modify it.
