Single generic static Password security

Hi Alex,

Would there be any simple way to force people to enter a password on the introduction screen before they could proceed?

I know you have single use tokens and can restric IP address etc but what we are looking for is just a simple level of security to prevent any curious web searches from finding the quiz on the open public internet and then submitting quiz results to our administrator.

When we give out the URL to the Quiz we would also give the password to all users. Alternatively we will need to write some PHP script to run on our web server to restric access to those URL's

Adam, I have an introduction page on my website with a link to the QW Tracker code for the exam.
That website page has a password which needs to be entered first to open it and then the student just clicks the QW exam link to open it.
My instructors issue the password verbally immediately before the exam starts, and then I change the website passwords to prevent unauthorized access afterwards.

Hi Adam,

Often this kind of password requirement can be handled by password protecting the directory that contains the quiz files. It is done through using something called .htaccess / .htpassword. If your hosting uses cPanel, this password protection can be done through the website admin interface.
