Fill-In-The-Blank questions I set a test with number if FITB questions and typed in the acceptable answers, all one word in lower case.
A student's Summary Report has shown most of these as incorrect with a zero score, yet her answers are word perfect (spellings and lower case) with my acceptable answers. I did a trial test myself to check and all answers correctly received a score of 1 mark. Why is the report scoring her answers as incorrect? Barrie Morgan Hi Barrie,
It's difficult to say without more detail. It can happen that a test is uploaded without the answers entered, a student takes the test and doesn't gain the correct marks, then the test is uploaded again with the correct answers entered. Can you send the test URL, and URL for the transcript to support@questionwriter.com and I'll check out if anything weird is going on. Alexander I have worked it out - the student used the shift bar first to start tne answer in the box away from the left hand margin, and the system thought there was no answer and reported it as incorrect. I will caution students to start their responses against the left margin of the box, until maybe a fix is done. Barrie Morgan |
