zoom of image Hi
I use image alot taking a screenshot of some text for reading comprehension questions. But often I can't get as much text as I need as i am limited by the size of teh image(too much text means studenst cANT read the text as it too small ). It seems we are limited to one size image. I want the students to be able to zoom in as much as needed to read text so that they can scoll down a page or two of text. Another thing is when i do a 'fill in blanks' question the studenst answer when they write in the text (which may be one complete sentence ) is only seen in a small box. I want an option for a much larger box. Then when they review the answer the answer shows up in full - one sentence: but at the moment their answer is only a word or two long , due i guess to the small size of the box? robertk what template gives the maximum size of zoom as it is currently configured? Maybe I can get a few more words in my readings if i use a different one.
is there anyway i can add something to the quizz that studenst can click on and come to a large page of text (besides being taken to another webpage) robertk Hi Robert,
There's currently a bug in the QW4 beta with the FIB question - the text entry box is always the same size. We're working on a fix for this. In the meantime, a workaround is to use underscores in the question - the text entry box will still reflect the number of underscores used - for example What is your Name? ______________________________________________________ - this will generate a large text entry box. What is your Name? ____ -this will generate a small text entry box. Alexander McCabe I don't know which template allows for the largest image size. Have you considered switching off the zooming altogether? This will then display the picture at your default dimensions.
You can also add a 'Content' element, and add images to it, and resize the images too now in QW4. Alexander McCabe thanks
how do i get the "content' element? Is there a button somewhere? robertk Hallo Robert
there is a short explanation of the new options available, including adding content, in our online manual: [en.wikibooks.org] I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any questions. Hazel Skeet In QW4, you can also add content to the question itself, not just to the answer options. Right click on any question and choose to add a 'Content'. You can add various pieces of content to this element, including text, images, flash etc. Alexander McCabe |
