Unhandled exception Hi folks,
I just added about 20 questions to an existing quiz file. On the last question the software issues an error message pertaining to an unhandled exception and then closed. Is there a chance that the verbiage for those questions is captured in a temporary file that the program generates for just this sort of occurrence? Thanks, Ferg Ferg Hi Ferg,
Sorry to hear you lost data. There's no deliberate attempt made by QW to keep a temporary file with the questions, however there is a cache directory that keeps the preview of the questions, you'd likely be able to read the text in the files from there. Here's what you'll need to do - 1. Find the directory, it'll have a name like, C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Local\Question Writer Corporation\Question Writer 4.2\Cache 2. Add the file extension '.swf' to the files. 3. You should be able to then open the files in a .swf viewer, or directly in Chrome and some other browsers. Alexander McCabe |
