I came across an article called Will Amazon’s $200 tablet spark interest among schools? recently and it did spark some interest in me.
Why? First because we are slowly in the midst of a digital transition wherein we can almost do anything online. We can pay our bills, read, play games, study, conduct meetings and even watch TV thanks to computers and the internet.
Second, because of this shift in online usage, schools are also looking at hardware, software and connectivity to enhance teaching and learning methods.
To answer the question above, yes, I think that schools will definitely take an interest in using several Kindle Fires in classrooms. They already have a pilot class in Shanghai to see if iPads can replace the real blackboard. So yes, tablets will naturally progress as an entertainment machine to an educational one.
