Question Writer 4 is now free to use. You can download the installer and use with any version of Windows up to and including Windows 10. While it doesn’t have all the features of QW HTML5, Question Writer 4 is very powerful quiz software and nearly all types of quizzes can be created with it.
The drawback is that Question Writer 4 creates tests that use the older Flash technology. This is gradually being phased out and can’t be used on a lot of mobile devices. However if you’re doing desktop testing, or control the test environment, Question Writer 4 is an ideal for creating quizzes and tests. The interface is also very similar to Question Writer HTML5, so you won’t have any difficulty switching if you need to at a later date.
